Headlines and Features App
Date and time are important information when looking at Headlines. Please add a date stamp.
When adding an EXISTING photo, it is pretty difficult to sort through all of the thumbnails to find the photo you are looking for. A larger window and different view options, such as file name would be helpful as well as being able to sort by upload date.
Changing a files name in "Files and Folders" breaks the link. Please correct this.
Being able to tell to which headline a photo is linked would be pretty amazing!

Q & A App needs some updating.
Please put all of the questions at the top of the page, and have the Q&A follow at the bottom. See https://il02215044.schoolwires.net/Page/833 for sample of what I mean. That way for a lengthy Q&A the user doesn't need to read through everything, they can just read the questions first and decide which one to click on.

set the amount of records shown for site shortcuts
It would be great to have the ability to limit the amount of records shown on a site short cuts app OR have the ability to hide the url portion of the link library app. Either would achieve the same effect. We like the clean look of the site shortcuts app but when sharing it to a page, we'd love to be able to limit the records and add a 'learn more; in a shared instance of the app.
check out: www.rcsdk12.org and look at the site shortcuts app usage in column D (center) called 'RCSD News Releases'. We'll have…

Frequently Asked Questions feature
I think there should be an App that provides more functionality for Frequently Asked Questions. This is a very common feature on websites and Blackboard does not have a great solution. They have "work-arounds." But, it seems this is one of the common features of websites - questions and answers. I'd recommend drop-down boxes. Or, the ability to click on the question and have the answer revealed below. The answer could then disappear again with another click on the question.

Drop Box feature
In our school district we have a need for a drop box feature. There needs to be a mechanism for students to submit information to a teacher, for example, via an attachment. Here's an example: one of our teachers manages the content for our literary magazine. With our former website, students could submit pictures, articles, etc. as attachments to get the content to this particular teacher. After a call to Blackboard support, I learned that there is no comparable feature within our new SchoolWires website.

Allow for commas in the filename to be uploaded. Upload feature is very old school.
Allow for commas in the filename to be uploaded. Without this we will need to have people use a new file naming solution. Most everything accepts commas at the very least.

Add "Remove Link" to new Editor
The old Flex Editor had a handy icon to remove a link. Now you have to go into the code and do it.

Add Tags to Site Shortcuts and Announcement Apps
I's like to have the ability to add tags to additional list-style apps, specifically the Site Shortcuts and Announcements apps. This would allow for easier management and sharing of content from the district site to the appropriate school sites.

It would be really nice if all apps were accessible and responsive; this should be the standard..
All school websites should be both accessible and responsive, to ensure we're accommodating all the needs of our staff, families, students, and community members. While a handful of apps are described as responsive and accessible, far too many are not. Those that are not, should be revised and replaced with versions that ensure ADA compliance and allow access from a variety of devices and screen sizes.

Basic Board Policy App
It would be helpful if there was a basic board policy app instead of having to purchase a custom app or build one from scratch with the minibase app.

App Level editing (Homepage level)
The ability to allow app level editing for "Headlines & Features" & "announcements" OR shared tags would be extremely instrumental to districts. This would allow a push up/push down w/ shared apps without allowing users unnecessary privileges to an entire homepage (especially @ the district level). This would also allow for more streamlined communications & overall site appearance.

Q & A App Should Allow for Unlimited Characters
Currently, the question portion of the Q&A app only allows for 100 characters. I would like to suggest that there be no character limit. Some questions can be longer than 100 characters.

Add the ability to use pictures in the "On-Screen Alert" app
It would be useful to have the option of adding an image to the "On-Screen Alert" app. As of now only text and links can be added to this feature. Thank you.

Search shared apps by name
Creating shared apps is great, but you have to know what app type and the name to find out. For example, we created a custom menu using the content app. It's not intuitive to open the content app to find OUR shared menu...there are other shared apps that are similar.
It would be useful to be able to list (and search) all of the shared apps for people to re-use...that way they can easily see what is available to use instead of having to know what's out there and then work to find it.

file library
Uploading the same file to a website multiple times is a recipe for disaster. Please update the File Library App to accept files that are already on the website.
