  1. Password to Protect a Web Page

    Our teachers would like to be able to assign a password to some web pages. They would then share this password with parents and students. While we understand that this can be accomplished by the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, etc. registering...it does cause more work since our Webmaster has to them assign them viewing rights.

  2. Page Specific last modified date

    In addition to having a last modified date setting for the section it should be for each individual page and/or be able to add it to a page using an active block.

  3. Notification emails should not include password

    I received an automated email that my account profile had been successfully updated (which was correct). The message included both my sign-in name and password. That is a real security risk. Passwords should NEVER be sent via email, especially with the sign-in name in the same message.

  4. Move location of "Save" and "Cancel" buttons

    Most Save or Cancel buttons end up "below the fold" when you are working on something so you have to scroll down to save and then scroll down again to cancel to go back. Look at moving their locations, and look at adding a "back" button.

  5. Make Website Timeout Based on Inactivity

    There is currently an option to set the amount of time before people are automatically signed out of the website. However, it is only based on time and not on inactivity. This is very inconvenient when you're someone who works on the website all day long and you keep getting logged out in the middle of things.Logout should be based on inactivity.

  6. Global list of forms and surveys, photo galleries, blogs

    As the site manager, I would appreciate a way to know of all the forms, surveys, photo galleries, blogs, etc. that are on the site without having to search through each subsite and sections.

  7. Eliminate View Website Tab or Site Mgr Button from tab view

    I've observed teachers, who only have editing rights to one section, click the 'view website' tab from within the Site Manager to view their updated pages. When satisfied rather than clicking the 'site manager' tab on the left to return to where they were, they click the 'site manager' button on the right opening up a new site manager application. I've seen them do this repeatedly, hence having over a dozen duplicate windows open. Unfortunately they risk overwriting their edited pages if they were to save the first opened window after the last edited window.

  8. Custom Error Pages

    Ability to customize "page not found" and/or other error pages to provide users with proactive assistance to find what they're looking for and troubleshoot browser issues. [ Inspired by an issue we're having with implementation -- many, many people in our communiy have old, cached pages on their computers and have no idea that we have launched a new Website or how to access it even though the URL has not changed.   9. Allow RSS feeds from other sites on to Schoolwires pages.

    RSS feeds are available on many of on-line sites such as MS liv, iGoogle, myMSN, etc., At this time the only RSS function we can use is to allow others to RSS our district calendar. Would be GREAT if we could RSS other sites to our Schoolwires pages. Teachers could feed their calendars, we could feed our athletics calendar, teachers could feed news sites onto their pages.

  10. Allow change to time zone

    Currently the time zone is locked as Eastern, so time stamps on Last Modified date, etc are all incorrect. It would be nice if we could adjust the time zone either globally at the site level or for each sub-site (global would be fine for me and probably most customers). I don't know if this is a problem in Synergy or Assist but I can see how it could be problematic in those apps as well.

  11. Add web disclaimer

    I would like to see a check box added to the "create link to outside site" dialog that when checked would pop up a window when the link is clicked to warn the user that they are leaving the school district site and the district is not responsible for content on the following pages.

  12. add ability to customize event registration confirmations

    Allow districts to customize the e-mail confirmations that are received when someone registers for an event and also when someone registers but is placed on the waiting list. The ability to have a unique message for both registrations would be helpful

  13. Ability to create Favorite Pages in Site Manager

    It would save a lot of time if you could flag or mark certain pages as "Favorites" in Site Manager. This function would enable you to access frequently updated pages much faster than having to drill down every single time.

  14. A report breaks down the usage of roles, by sections & pages

    Hello, I have had a very good request come up, from our webmasters at the Niagara Wheatfield CSD. They have a pretty large site (district + 6 subsites) and many, many pages of content. Currently they are looking at revamping their roles - perhaps adding new or eliminating outdated roles. Is there any reporting mechanism which would allow them to see which roles are being used and where they are being used on the site. For instance if Mary Ann decided that she wanted to eliminate a role called Business Staff - because she felt that it was not really…

  15. A Parent Teacher Conference Scheduler Module

    Where parents could access and schedule/change/cancel times. Teachers could make appointments for parents without internet access. Teachers could check their shedule in real time and print them out. Could be coordinated with other teachers in the school for those parents that have more than one child with conferences. Tried the Calendar feature, did not work for us.
