  2. More Granular Permissions for Subsite Directors

    We have found in many cases that subsite director privileges provide too much power and we as site directors do not have the option of scaling back those permissions. For example, while we like the fact that subsite directors can see and have permission to modify content in any section within their subsite, we would prefer that they did not have the ability to rename, move, create, or delete sections or channels.   4. Assigning Roles During Site Manager-based User Creation

    When a new account is made by a site manager, it should be possible to then be able to assign roles immediately after the creation of the account. Currently, creating a new account brings the site workspace back to the "User Profiles" page, forcing the site manager to then search for the new account, click on the "Edit" button, click on the "Edit Roles" button, and then assign roles.

  5. Need to search for a page using the page number in the back-end.

    We have several subsites and need to locate a redirected page. Right now we have to contact BB to escalate the issue. It would be helpful to be able to enter a page number and find the origin of the redirect to remove it.

  6. Add ParentID to the Parent Report

    The Parent Report spits out parents names, student IDs, students names, and parent contact Info. It would be nice if it also gave the Parent ID as we use that as a identifier for the parents in multiple systems.

  7. Active directory

    Currently WCM only queries LDAP/Active Directory on login. This means user changes and group changes only happen at that moment. With Google Auth enabled, this user and group management functionality is bypassed and never happens. It would be great to have WCM either A) Do a nightly sync with LDAP/Active Directory to pull users and groups into the system or B) Do a cross-reference process on Google Auth.

  8. Referenced User Data from main Staff Directory App

    So I realize this is a big one, and I'm not sure even how it would work but how many schools out there have the same staff listed in multiple places? (ie., a counselor who is listed in the schools/districts directories, and on pages like a school counseling page). It would be awesome to have a staff reference app, where you check off a subset of staff members you want to display on a secondary page that actually references the original directory app. This way, when a user changes their last name/email/phone number/etc it changes everywhere throughout all sites on…

  9. User Management Cross-check with LDAP.

    User Management Solution - For LDAP enabled sites: When a person is registering for an account, a cross-check should be done against our Active Directory during registration. The cross-check will make sure the registered accont cannot be created with a username that is already being used in Active Directory.

  10. Support Oauth for authentication

    In addition to AD, Open Directory and eDirectory support for using our Google Apps infrastructure and groups for authentication would be great. It would save schools from having to deploy a separate directory server.

  11. Disable 'editors & viewers' tab for teacher pages.

    When building teacher pages, we have to assign the teacher as a section editor for their page. But we need to have an option for disabling the 'editors & viewers' tab for the teachers. There is no reason for them to access that area. We do not want them to assign multiple section editors for their page, AND we do not want them to set viewers. I have had teachers set viewers on their page then wonder why nobody can see their page. They do not need to access the 'editors & viewers' tab period... Whenever teachers access that area…

    The search function should include "email address" and "first name" so that we don't have to download the entire user log to find users by email.

  13. Ability to set up pre-made groups of sites for on-screen alerts.

    It would be helpful to be able to set up pre-made groups of sites for on-screen alerts. It takes too long to set those up on the fly, especially in an emergency.

    We used to use a site that allowed us to quickly see when pages were last updated. That doesn't seem to be an option with SchoolWires.

  15. User Search function. Admins need a simple user look-up feature

    This seems like a no-brainer: there should be a user look-up/search feature for Admins.

    With the potential for thousands of users between staff,students and parents wading through even filtered lists of users is a waste of valuable admin time.

  16. Please set up a way to mark self-registered users.

    Self-registered users should be marked so that upon export I can easily separate self-registered users from district created users. Without this feature it will be difficult to manage a constantly growing number of users.

  17. Tie users to students at registration

    My users haven't gotten the hang of channel registration yet, therefore I have a plethora of users who do not get targeted alerts. I have no way to target them, as they are in NO WAY tied to students. Add a place during registration for "My Students" "My Campuses" "Parent/Student/Faculty/Other"

  18. Report Feature for Site Directors

    It would be nice if the Site Directors had access to various reports that would help maintain the site users and sections.
    1- User report stating people who have never logged in. Or it has been over a year since their last login.
    2- New Sections Added - This would be very helpful because we have Calendar Collections set up for each campus so that the campus webmaster can push events to all teacher calendars. However, the Site Directors are the only people who have access to add people to the Calendar Collections. So, new sections get added and we…

  19. Identifying roles

    When using the Register link on the My Start bar, users fail to specify whether they are a parent, student, etc. in the "Title" field. Sometimes I have seen "Mr." or something like that. Also, that field is not required. It should be, and I would like to see "Title" changed to something more intuitive or have a description added. I have had to disable that feature on our site and create a form as a substitute, in addition to creating a page with instructions on how to fill it out.   20. Notify administrator if user deletes account.

    Currently, we are unaware if a user deletes their account, and we should be alerted whenever that happens. An email notification to the 'Users & Groups' contact email would be a great enhancement,
