  2. Enable a Captcha for Staff Login

    It would be great if we could enable a Captcha to our staff login page so that bots do not attempt to login. We have had issue with bots recently and are wanting to secure our site as much as possible.

  5. Register for Events - No Sign in

    With the calendar app can we remove the sign in option, or have guests be able to register. For our program we want students to be able to have the ease of pre-registering online instead of having to call. As of now you are required to sign in to register for events that are on the calendar. This does not help people who do not have a blackboard login and do not want one but to simply register for the event.

    A simple solution would be able to activate or deactivate required sign in, or make event public.

  6. App Name by Default is H1

    When using the "Show the app name on my page" checkbox, the app name will appear as H1 by default. But sometimes I do not want it to be H1 because it is in the middle of the page. This is messing with accessibility, especially since there should only be 1 "H1" heading per page. There should be an added feature to let us identify which heading size we want to use. Otherwise, I am stuck adding a ton of heading apps.

  7. Staff Directory Email Link

    I feel like this should be a feature request for the entirety of the internet but it would be amazing if Blackboard could support it. We have families who try clicking on email links in the staff directory and then think they've sent an email but nothing ever comes through. My guess is that this is user error but always hard to say for sure. It would be great if clicking the email link would copy the email address rather than opening the email client.

  8. Remove underlining when using bullets

    To disable the underlining feature when using bullets in articles for News and Features. The underlining is confusing and inconsistent and looks unfinished. Bullets should be a list not a table that is underlined.

    I's like to have the ability to add tags to additional list-style apps, specifically the Site Shortcuts and Announcements apps. This would allow for easier management and sharing of content from the district site to the appropriate school sites.

  10. Allow for at least six links in the footer options.

    At this time, we have 3 mandatory statements and the ADA Accessibility Statement that is required. We have to do a work-around and redirect our users to a page with multiple links instead of to the statement or policy which addresses their concern.

  14. Apps - need to keep updating them

    Please assign more people to updating existing apps and developing new ones. WCM will get old if that's not done to keep up. Many of these apps need adjustments and tweaks to work better. I don't see much progress being made in this area.

  15. About Teacher App UL and OL

    Currently there is no way to have an unordered or ordered list on the About Teacher app, but I keep running into situations where it is needed. Adding them would not detract from accessibility, so I don't know why they were stripped in the first place.

  16. Additional Search Fields and Filtering for the Staff Directory Obfuscation App

    The new Staff Directory app with hidden emails is a big step forward over the open emails in the minibase but we need the ability to select additional fields to include in the search bar. For example, department or grade level would be helpful. In addition, we'd like to be able to filter on any of the colunmn headers to allow us to display subsets of the directory on specific pages much like we can with the minibase. An alternative would be to add obfuscation/ a web contact form for emails included in the minibase.

    Create a web app that will allow the Upcoming Events section to connect and post to a linked Facebook account. This link could post on the wall or Events section of the facebook page.

  18. Make event registration experience better

    First off, not showing the registration button is very confusing to my audience- having the button there that would take you to the Sign In page was easy. NEXT, why is the SSO button below the regular sign in- it would be nice if that were customizable to have a subhead above saying Employees Sign In Here-or something like that.
    Thirdly, once signed in with SSO, it puts you back to the District homepage which is very disorienting for the user as we have a subsite for our Professional Development. A visitor will then need to navigate all the way…

  20. Custom Form Notifications

    Please add the option to customize notification recipients based on a selection from the form.

    We have one form that is utilized by 30+ buildings. It would be beneficial if a person could choose a building(s) and based on the building name, the form will send the notification to that building(s) contact.

    With the current set up, we will need to copy a form 30+ time and risk having to make 30+ updates, if the form needs to be updated/changed.
