Allow editors to decide what Google Calendar integration info is synced
When using Google Calendar integration with a Schoolwires calendar, Schoolwires automatically pulls the Google Calendar URL and owner/creator email addresses into the “contact” tab of synced events (so a website URL and contact email address show up by default). I would like the ability to hide the contact info that’s pulled into Schoolwires from Google.
Our district doesn't want the public using the Google Calendar owner email address to contact us (nor do we necessarily want the public to click on the Google Calendar event link that shows up as it requires you to sign-in; it’ll just end up confusing them).
At the moment, the info can be manually removed in Schoolwires, but that means you need to already have editing rights to the calendar in question. Our department/school website editors don’t have editing rights outside of their respective department/school for a variety of reasons, so they can’t do this task themselves (meaning it’ll create more work for my district administrative website team to make the necessary edits).
