Add a Forms and Documents Library App
I haven't found a suitable solution to the question of forms on our website. We have a lot of forms, but none of the available apps really fill the need for form and document management. What would a next level form solution look like?
It'd show the file name, the date the file was last updated, the type of document (DOCX, PDF, URL, EXCEL). It would also allow you to decide which of these elements you want to display. It'd allow tags and a tag sidebar, as well as a search field. There would be an easy way to import and export entries under the App Options (like the Staff Directory allows). It would allow for forms to be nested under headings (like in Site Shortcuts).
Now that, right there, would be one sweet, sweet app.
Indeed, I did check out the File Library App. The only flaw is that it won't link to URLs. It has to be a file you upload. So, if we have some online forms then they can't be added to the File Library.
Check out the updates that just released this summer to the File Library App - tagging is now supported, a streamlined view is available. Much of what you might be looking for is there.
