Include a GUID - globally unique identifier field in LDAP
Directories store a unique identifier for each account. For example, AD, has a field called GUID - globally unique identifier - that is unique across all users within the directory (other directory products have the same thing, perhaps with a different name for that field like UUID or OID). This identifier does not change, and you can't re-create it; so if you delete the account in the directory and create it again with all the same info, the GUID is still different than the original.
If Schoolwires were to pull in this identifier as part of their LDAP Connector, and use it instead of the login/account name to match up accounts in Centricity to the directory, any account changes will automatically come in and be correctly shown in Centricity. Namely, when a district uses the person's last name as part of their login name, using the GUID would eliminate the need for someone to have to make changes in Centricity.
