Anything involving a table breaks responsive design
Tables are necessary for presenting large chunks of information in a digestible format, however it seems like anything involving a table completely breaks responsive design once I test on mobile. Please find us a solution!

Remove underlining when using bullets
To disable the underlining feature when using bullets in articles for News and Features. The underlining is confusing and inconsistent and looks unfinished. Bullets should be a list not a table that is underlined.

Provide a way to search/refine/filter message tracking results in the Mass Notification System
Once I use the Message Tracking report, we would love a way to filter or search for specific messages related to a keyword or phrase.

Fix Creative Services Image Editor bug
The Creative Services Image Editor saves the images at a slightly higher bitrate than the original photo. This causes problems for our users when uploading to the Multimedia Rotator, which has a file size limit of 1 MB.

Add ability to password protect at the page level.
Teachers, counselors, athletics, etc all want to have links to educational resources (external sites) on their websites that are not ADA compliant. Currently, we can only password protect at the Section level, unlike what we could do in School Center. We have to keep our site ADA compliant and therefore cannot have these links available to parents/students because of the inability to password protect at the page level. Thank you.

Allow color on home buttons
It would be great to give us the flexibility to change the color of the District Home and School Dropdown buttons on the homepage. We can change the text and where it routs to, but not the colors.

Allow moving pages with nested pages underneath
The ability to move a page together with all its nested pages would be helpful. It is cumbersome to have to move all of the nested pages first, then the main page, then re-nest the pages, etc. This would allow for more flexibility in reorganizing a site.

Offer a better option for Setting up Google CSE at site launch
Waiting until post launch to configure Google CSE results in a poor user experience just when you want people to have the BEST experience. Once Google CSE is setup, you then have to wait for Google to crawl your site before users will experience satisfactory search results. Additionally, the suggestions for removing URLS and/or outdated content involves submitting every page on our old site one at a time which is not practical.

Add a Capatcha to view e-mail addresses
We should have the ability to add a capatcha or a way to verify it's a human viewing the e-mail addresses on the staff directory.

Option to choose header style for displayed app name,
Since many webpages are created using multiple apps, it would help with ADA compliance if we had the option to choose the header style for the app name displayed. If the app is used in the middle of the webpage, it should not have the default H1 has the app name format. To be ADA complian you might need H2 or H3 for the app name.

Big Glitch in Smore Integration - New Emails Saving Over Old Emails in Smore
While it is possible to copy, rename, and update Smore content within Blackboard - resulting in archived copies of each email/newsletter - on the Smore side each new issue is simply saved over the old one.
Thus, while I have several issues of my Smore e-newsletter within Blackboard, Smore treats them all as one issue, and the viewer stats are meaningless. Smore confirms that each time I copy an issue within Blackboard, edit, and publish - Smore's system simply treats it as an update of the original issue. A big problem as our visitor "counter" that Smore includes for readers…

Set a cookie to remember the location a user comes from when they sign in via SAML authentication
Blackboard should set a cookie to remember the location a user comes from when they sign in via SAML authentication. That way, our employees can proceed with sign in if they happen to hit a staff-only link first.

Remove ( ) around district name in automated emails
When a new user registers for a website account, they receive an automated email with the subject line "Welcome to the (Lincoln Public Schools) Website". Please remove the ( ) around district names. It does not give a good impression.

Searching all sites should not be the default
The default option for search on Blackboard websites is to search all pages associated with your main domain name.
This means if a parent searches for "homecoming" on High School A, they could possibly get the results from High School B.
I went to Denton ISD and searched for "second grade" from Blanton ES and the first page of results were all from different elementary schools.
We've had them alter the way search works on our site, but it does cost extra. Odd that this is the default. Does anyone else have issues with search complaints?

Look up best practices for SEO from 2007 and implement them in your platform
Implement canonical URLs via user-configurable meta tags
Use HTTP 301 redirects
Allow SEO-friendly URLs within site structure (navigation, breadcrumbs, in-page links, etc.)
Create a sane way to manage SEO-friendly URLs sitewide

Obfuscate email addresses
I just learned that the Staff Directory app and the About Teacher app will obfuscate email addresses to prevent (or at least slow down) their collection by email harvesters.
Since we also add email addresses in other apps (Tables, Minibases, Content), could WCM consider obfuscating all email addresses or giving content creators an option to add obfuscation? Maybe a Captcha screen?

Bring back the "HOW DO I..." tab.
This was so simple for people to understand. You searched based on your access level. You got a column for readers (articles), viewers (videos) and those that wanted additional resources.
Did it need some work? Sure, but the "all Blackboard products in one place" approach is really not good. It also doesn't help that you don't have the videos anymore.
