Responsive Minibase Input Fields
Making Minibase fields more responsive. Many websites are viewed on mobile phones, having the input fields fit the view port would really enhance the app.

Sorteable and Searchable Minibase fields
I strongly encourage Blackboard to make minibases sorteable by column AND query-able. Our minibase in particular hosts years of documents that must be added to bi-weekly; different webpages show documents by fiscal year but it all is managed in one minibase and is being updated constantly. The Blackboard suggestion to export the minibase, sort, and reimport is unreasonable for a live database.
This minibase is NOT currently sorteable, which our district feels is a simple and necessary function of any useful database. We also suggest making this information searchable; our current staff directory has a search box in which we…

Allow Minibases to be responsive
I would love it for minibases layout to allow responsive design. Very difficult to use our staff directory minibase on a phone or tablet.

print styles for staff directory
It would be great if the styles could be edited to print in a table format when using the custom minibase app. This would eliminate the need to keep multiple files for users to download and print.

Minibase - add a restriction to the search to require at least two letters in name for searching.
Add a restriction to the search to require at least two letters in name for searching. We have had an uptick in spam (in alpha order) and think requiring additional letters could help. Thank you!

Descending date order Mini Base
The functionality of the drop down to descending order in the Minibase when using year or any date information would make ease of use for the end user. Please consider this change. Users are frustrated when looking for the current years Agendas and Minutes.

Free form searches from Minibases should default to "Contains" NOT "Starts With" -- just like Google and all search engines do.
Free form searches from Minibases should default to "Contains" NOT "Starts With" -- just like Google and all search engines do. (You don't have to type "The" or "A" before a search phrase in Google, for instance... and if you did, you wouldn't know which to do or when it's needed. "Contains" lets you search by any keyword.) This makes it really hard for people to use the minibase search feature, and makes it likely that they don't find what they're looking for.

Minibase dropdowns in descending order
In Minibase, in particular dropdown menus that are 'dates' such as 'years,' the dropdown should begin with current year (descending order).

Keep Minibase Search Filters Visible
When a website user searches a minibase, the filter/search fields disappear after the search results are shown. The search fields should remain visible after the search so that the user can perform another search without having to refresh the page.

Add conditional formatting or field to minibase app
It would be nice to have a little more control over the minibase with conditional formatting or fields. ie, something link and if/then type

Add multiple table styles to the default table view for a minibase that the user can select.
Add multiple table styles to choose from for the default table view. Some users do not like the default table style of gray vs. white alternating rows and want a different look, but just need a basic table and don't want to spend the time to do a custom view.

Minibase default for search
When you do a custom search in minibase and you use the dropdown for the search it automatically displays Starts With. I suggest that we be given the choice for default to be Starts With or Contains. Or make the default Contains. The reason behind this request is that if a person is searching they are probably looking for a string within the search and not the exact beginning of the string. Most searches do not even have Starts With.
Thanks

Allow multiple custom views for one shared minibase
Allow multiple, different custom views in different workspaces and/or pages for ONE shared minibase. The current custom view does not allow the embedding of code using the Active Block toolbox. So, even though we want to have one common minibase and want to share it across different workspaces, we have to duplilcate the minibase just to create views that are specific to the minibase on a particular page or for a particular user group/role. We also can't program using if-then-else embed code statements based on the content of the data in specific fields or based on the role of the…

Allow the filter drop down in Minibase to have a set default of "Contains" when requested versus defaulting to "Starts with".
Looking for the ability to set "Contains" as the default drop down from within the app settings in Minibase. We currently use the minibase to house a lookup tool for seat dedications in our auditorium. Most users are searching based on their last name versus "In honor of James Smith" since they don't remember how the seat name was started. We're looking for them to be able to type "Smith" without having to swap the drop down option each time.

Minibase upgrade disabled searching for records
BlackBoard Engineering Team informed me that there was an update last fall with the Minibase App which has disabled the search results. Our district has been using email group names that begin with underscore '_' . The minibase app no longer recognizes the character and doesn't return any record results.

Add the ability to sort a field by DATE (instead of only A-Z or Z-A alphabetically)
Sorting a field with dates in it alphabetically puts October "10" dates immediately after January "1" and groups all years by month -- so January 2013, 2014, 2015, etc. all come before October 2013, 2014, 2015, etc. This is a problem, of course, for any records that must be displayed in chronological order.
To get around this, I have to change the date format in Excel to United Kingdom, YYYY-MM-DD, save as a CSV and import. Since Excel reverts dates back to MM/DD/YYYY each time you reopen a file, it requires very careful handling so that I don't accidentally upload…

Re-enable the ability of Minibases to accept imports of more than 100 records at a time!
Why is this a problem? Well, for minibases with many records (our Brags minibase displayed at https://www.cusd80.com/brags has about 5,000 records now), sometimes I've needed to do some global editing of the data -- like when a school's name has changed. In the past, I've been able to download the entire CSV, make the changes in the data using Find/Replace in Excel, save the updated CSV, purge the minibase and re-import. Now that I am limited to only importing 100 records at a time, that means creating at least 50 (!) separate CSV files and re-importing each one at a…

Minibase Filter Options: Should display responsively
The filter options should display responsively depending on the device. When trying to filter with a label shown below, users can't see the entry box on many cell phones in portrait mode. They aren't aware they need to enter anything.
Last Name: Start With> [ ]
