  1. Tip Line Report for the Tip Manager

    We need a report for the Tip Line and Tip Manager that can be run by users or at least District Administrators and School Administrator accounts. As of right now, there is no way to identify how many total tips have been received or how many tips have been received for each category. This is a huge downside to the Tip Line and Tip Manager piece within Blackboard. I believe not only my district but many other school districts would greatly benefit from a built-in report that we can run at any time.

  2. Analytics on click throughs of links

    Using the mass text messaging platform is a great way to text families the direct link for enrollment signups. It would be great to see if we could get analytics on the number of people who clicked the link. It would be helpful to understand if this method of connecting with families is effective or not.

  3. Option to deliver via other methods ONLY if a previous method fails

    It would be nice to be able to select multiple delivery methods for example Email, SMS Text, Telephone and have the message attempt delivery via email first. Then if someone does not have an email address on file or if the email fails for some other reason it will send to them via SMS Text. If the text message fails for some reason it will send via a phone call.

    Our families hate getting an alert via all three options at the same time.

  4. Report for Users with/without Photos

    Would love the option to create a report for students and employees who are missing photos. We upload photos in batches when yearbook pictures are taken. Unfortunately, some folks miss photo day, so it would be great to see a report of who doesn't have a photo. It would also be great to see WHEN their photo was last changed so that we can ensure all users (particularly employees) have a recent photo.

  6. Issues with the Tip Line notification emails breaking

    There is an issue with the Tip Line(TL) notifications that just does not make sense and needs to be addressed for safety and ease of use reasons.

    Currently the TL notification emails can be setup at the District level to go to specific addresses based on which category is chosen. This is wonderful and works perfectly.

    THE PROBLEM TO BE ADDRESSED:
    If you enter at a School level the local parties that should get notifications of a TL submission it BREAKS the link with the District and only the local school addresses receive notifications. This is an undeniable FLAW that…

  7. Adjust Tip Manager School/Organizations

    There is currently no way to deselect or designate specific organizations for the Tip Line. It can only be disabled and enabled for all organizations.

    It would be nice to allow users to choose which ‘school/organizations’ they would like to have based on their own district.

  8. Auto-merging of accounts

    Currently, accounts will merge automatically if 2 of 3 things match.
    ID
    Name
    Primary phone number

    I would like there to be an option to only auto-merge based solely on the ID.

    It would be very helpful if there was a selection to click on to prioritize your outgoing message. (ie. Urgent, High, Medium, Low)

  11. Automated messages: Make the names of the custom messages match the default options

    Currently, when creating a custom automated message, the options under "message type" include things like "Cafeteria Balance Message" and "Reminder Message." However, when setting up the delivery options for automated messages, there are no options under "type" that match these labels – instead, you see options such as "Lunch Balance" and nine separate options under "Reminder." How can an admin possibly know with certainty which custom message is matching up with the message type under the delivery options?! Please make this easier to navigate by using the SAME NAMES for custom messages in both fields.

  12. Send Message as an Alert - Needs Character Count

    Please add a character count to the Alert window in the Mass Comm System since messages put here that exceed a certain number of characters will not post at all and no error message is triggered. From speaking with support, this character count needs to include all HTML as well as copy/pasted text that appears to have few characters can have a large character count in HTML... and again.... will not post.

  14. When choosing recipients, add a "Select All" at the Top Level Organization

    We receive several complaints from the schools we support, that the design for selecting recipients doesn't make sense to them. Especially in the event they will be sending an emergency message. To them, it would make more sense if there was a "Select All" at the Top Level organization in these situations, that allows them to simply and quickly select anyone that's in Mass Notify and send them a message. This business about having to open the organization, and then open the specific "audience" to send the message to (i.e. parents, students, staff) to them seems like busy work in…

  15. Allow sending automated messages to ANY group already in Blackboard

    Currently, you can only setup automated messages for Attendance, Detentions, Lunch Balance, etc. But it would be great if there were a way to choose any dynamic group that is already uploaded to Blackboard, or one that you create within Blackboard and setup an automated message to send at chosen intervals like you already can with the Attendance options. For example, if the admin at a school wanted to send a newsletter to all seniors every Friday, Blackboard should be able to dynamically generate a list of all 12th graders every Friday and send out the message, while only requiring…

  16. Add new category

    Add a new category called: "in-climate weather". This way when it's a weather related message they can choose the category and it will go out to some additional delivery addresses, based on category in-climate weather under delivery preferences.

  17. Message Repeats?

    I have been getting calls where the messages will repeat over and over again. I understand the system is picking up on noise, and will restart but there must be a way to shut this off or control it. It becomes very frustrating when the message is 75% complete, and starts over, even in complete silence!

  18. Sending Organization

    Have the ability to select multiple sending organizations from a District Administrator account. This way when a message goes out to a select few it will choose each of their specific organizations, without it coming from the District.

  19. Tip Line widget

    Provide the ability to adjust the wording on the Tip Line widget. It currently reads, "All personal information is confidential." We want to remove that language because it does not accurately reflect our defined setting within the Tip Line. It's not confidential because we are asking for their information.

  20. Add the ability to edit the content of a message once it is submitted to send

    I set up an email to be sent to a specific number of parents that were individually entered. Once I set it up, I needed to change one date. It will be very cumbersome to individually enter each email address as opposed to just editing the content of the message.
