  1. Don't override nightly files, if the new file has errors.

    If the nightly upload file has errors, don't upload it and wipe out the previous days account information. This is a SAFETY concern. If our school had an emergency and needed to send out an urgent message, but couldn't because the nightly upload was blank/had errors this wipes out all the parent/student account files and prevents us from sending a message quickly.

  2. Ability for opt-outs to apply district-wide, not just at the school level

    Currently, when parents request to opt out in response to a school call, it only opts them out from that school, rather than our entire district. Currently, staff with access at the school level who try to opt out a number can only opt parents out from their school's calls, rather than all district calls.

    We should be able to choose if we want opt-outs to apply for a single school or the entire district. That could be a setting for our account, or an option users choose when opting out each number. School staff should be able to opt…

  3. Un-merge accounts

    Our parent accounts are automatically merged together when a single parent is listed on multiple student records in our SIS. All too often, the wrong parents are being merged together, usually in cases of blended families.

    We need the ability to un-merge a parent record. Until then, I have to have tech support un-merge every single instance.

  4. "Public" checkbox needs to send message to Library all the time

    If a message is initially sent with the "public" checkbox in Advanced Options selected, the message is stored in the Library. If a message is first sent without selecting the "public" checkbox and then the user decides they would like to add it to the Library, selecting the "public" checkbox on a subsequent send does not add the message to the Library.
    Suggestions:
    1. Allow the "public" checkbox to store a message in the Library after an initial send - OR -
    2. Hide the "public" checkbox after a message is sent the first time.

  5. Attendance calls: Don't send system-default message for foreign languages

    When a district sets up a custom message for their automated daily attendance calls, all calls should be sent using that English default, unless a custom foreign language message is specifically created.

    Currently, we have set up custom attendance messages for all of our schools, but we found out that our foreign-language speakers are getting a different message from everyone else. That message does not include the custom text we set up in our English call.

  6. Improve attendance reporting

    When sending parents to truancy court, we are required to prove attempted attendance contacts. When I view Contacts for a parent in their Personal File, it will show the type of message (Cafeteria Balance, Miscellaneous, Attendance). However, when I export it into Excel, it only shows the student name in the Regarding column which is frustrating. It would be helpful if that issue were addressed.

    However, I'd ultimately prefer to generate a Contact Report for attendance only for the entire school year--currently the report is limited for one month only.

  7. I would love to be able to access student information after they are withdrawn from our school

    I would like access to the report that shows times and reasons we sent contact out to a student once the student has been withdrawn. This will help with successfully filing BECCA petitions.

  8. Allow copying and pasting from WORD documents and the like in to Messenger.

    When copying a pasting text from another document in to Messenger, the allowable character count for text messages drops from 140 to 50. I'd like to be able to copy and paste in without there being a reduction because I keep a running WORD document of all the messages I send so that I can easily track dates and use messages year to year.

    The current way the from Name shows up leaves many of our parents confused. It would be nice if the text could identify it's from our school.

  13. Ability to export user data based on filtered accounts or roles

    I'd like to have the ability to export account data, including contact information and user IDs, for roles such as "Community Members" so that we can update the information and import an update. An export based on any filtered list of accounts would be even better.

  14. User Ability to Opt Back In to Receive Email

    When users opt-out of phone calls or text messages, they have the ability to opt back in to receive communications by either calling an 800 number or texting START to a number without having to contact the school to edit it in the system. It would be great if users could opt back in to receive communications via email. There's an Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. It would be nice if there was a "re-subscribe" link of some sort that would opt them back in.

  15. messages sent count by employee

    We need a report that totals the messages sent by each employee . We are wanting to verify that each site's designated user is regularly sending messages to families. The data is part of our accountability factor to promote parent engagement as set in our LCAP Goals.

  17. Recipients Only Templates

    I have created message templates for our Transportation Department. When I created them, I checked "recipients only." However, users have to check this box again before they can send messages. Can a change be made so that this isn't necessary? The whole point of these messages is not to spam all users.

  18. Simplify the way messages are translated into languages other than English

    When sending a message, a list of all possible languages and percentages appear under the Language option, even if none of the recipients of the message have that language entered. It's difficult for a person sending a message to know which languages are needed for that particular message, so they are required to manually select a long list of langauges to make sure they cover everyone. Some ideas on ways to fix this:

    a. Add a "Select all" at the top of the Language list.

    b. Create a default option at the district level that if a language other than…

  19. Allow customers to edit the default 'unsubscribe from email' message

    Our district sends messages from the district office about district-wide board meetings and events. Additionally, each school principal sends out parent communications weekly.

    We find that parents unsubscribe from the district email not knowing that this means they're unsubscribing from their weekly school email.

    We'd like the ability to modify the unsubscribe text to explain this detail.

  20. Indefinite Message Tracking History

    Keep the history for Message Tracking indefinitely.

    Staff refer to prior year(s) messages for community outreach. Ideally they would like to take that message, edit it, and send to the current contacts for outreach.
