Assign Static Number for Each School for Mobile Alerts
Each School Needs a Dedicated "Sending" Number for mobile alerts.
Situation: When a school creates and sends a mobile alert, the text message arrives to end users from a seemingly randomly created, not actual phone number - ie: 606-80.
Problem: End users may have multiple children attending different schools so do not necessarily know which school the mobile alert is coming from unless the text message specifically indicates the school name (origin) as part of the text - but that requires the message to use up valuable characters under the mobile alert character limit of 140.
Solution Request: Assign each school a static number (ie: 606-80) so that end users can program that number into their contacts as that school name so that when the mobile alert comes through, the mobile alert displays that contact (parent names the contact as their school name).
I realize there is probably a technical reason for the randomized sending number, but this is something BB really needs to rethink and make right.
