We really need to be able to have the ability for Blackboard to archive communication between employees and students, parents, etc. and have access to that communication and its content for at least 6 months to a year after a student unenrolls or graduates. If Blackboard could do this, it would be most beneficial to districts when dealing with potential students at risk of improper relations with educators, improper correspondence, racism, social injustice, etc. Losing the information is a detriment to our overall communications goal of keeping everything in one place to easily access and refer to when the need arises. As of now, the information dissappears with all of its content when students unenroll and/or graduate.
