  1. Stronger and more secure password reset option

    Please change "Forgot Password" to send a "password reset" link expiring in 24 hours to the parent/student's email on file instead of resetting user's password and sending a new password text value to their email. Current functionality is not secure and allows anyone to reset your password as long as they know your account login. Thank you!

  2. Open Rates and Click Rates

    Reports on open rates and/or click rates for messages sent through the mobile app need to be added. It helps to inform what our audience wants and enables us to craft content.

  3. Twitter - Posting drops user account access to Twitter

    Error- When end-users are using BB to post to Twitter, their accounts are deactivated, because Twitter thinks they are spamming. This has been an issue since August. Our end-users have completely stopped using this feature (which was one of the big selling points of the system) Still waiting for a response from Development about a solution.

  4. Make the checkbox in Messages > App Push default so that "Recipients only" is automatically checked.

    Hello! The feature that we would like to see is:

    When in Blackboard > Messages, if one selects the App to push the message out to, we must remember to check the box down at the bottom that says “Recipients only”. If we do not check this box, the app push notification will go to everyone in the district who has the Katy OnTheGo app -- not just the intended recipients selected in the “Recipients” area of Messages. We would really like to have that box default so that it is automatically checked.

  5. Reporting feature for Tip Line

    We use the Tip Line extensively and need the ability to run a report of tips received. It is absurd that reports for such an important high profile feature have to be created by hand. What I must do currently is copy and paste each field into a spreadsheet so data can then be sorted by Category, School, Date, etc. In the next couple of weeks we are planning on a district-wide Tip Line awareness campaign. With 23 campuses, I am dreading the amount of extra work I will have to do to create reports by hand for our Board…

  6. Phone 'Type' tags - example: Mobile, Work, Home.

    Please include a phone 'type' label next to each phone number for a student and their contacts. This will assist administrators in quickly identifying the appropriate phone number to call when using the mobile app on their phone or mobile device.

  7. Feedback Form On Mobile App Calendar

    We want to give our families and community members the ability to rate and provide feedback to a meeting that was posted on the calendars in the mobile app after the fact. It would be great to say to meeting participants, find this meeting event on the mobile app and let us know if it was useful and if you have any feedback for us.

  8. Want to see content of message before attachments on app notification

    I would like to be able to see the content of the message before any included attachments. As it is right now, attachments are seen when an app notification is open. I like that image attachments automatically show up in the notification without being opened; however, any message content that I want the end-user to view is automatically at the bottom.

  10. It's odd to me that in the push notification feature of the app, we cannot hyperlink to websites as other apps can. This is a huge detriment

    It's odd to me that in the push notification feature of the app, we cannot hyperlink to websites as other apps can. This is a huge detriment to districts that link their parents to registration portals, informational sites, emergency links/announcements, schedules, etc. We obviously know and have personally seen the effect of using the push notification feature to reach parents and they are more likely to complete our desired CTA's if their phone reminds them to, yet we cant link them anywhere... seems backwards and archaic compared to every other app/push notification system

  11. Add Advanced Options Feature to Bb CommHQ App

    We would like the advanced options feature added to the Bb CommHQ App. For example, if we want to send an app notification to parents following a specific school or bus, we need the Advanced Options Feature that is found on the computer so we can select a specific sender organization. This is crucial if there is an emergency and specific information only needs to go to specific people.

    In order not to confuse parents with students at multiple schools, when sending the password email, have the "To" address be from the district, not the first school from the merged accounts

  14. Allow comments for entire marking terms to be displayed

    Right now, we are able to display comments for individual assignments, but not for the overall marking period. As we move more and more paperless, this is a necessary step in allowing us to stop use of populating report cards.

  15. School Info Text color makes all information appear to be "grayed out" and unable to interact with it

    All of the text under School Info (inside directory) is a very light gray color. This makes it appear that this information is "Grayed out" and non-clickable. It also is very hard to read and I am sure would fail every ADA compliance contrast test you run against it. Please change this text to black or dark gray.

  16. Tip Line languages

    Currently, users are only able to have English as a language setting in the Tip Line. You are able to change the language in the app settings, however, the Tip Line language remains in English. Would be great to have Spanish added as well. Thanks!

  17. Need Alternate of Non-Traditional School Type

    In Organization Configuration we need a type of Alternate or Non-Traditional School for our charter and K-12 schools. There are only Elementary, Middle/Jr and High School. We tried using Other, but those schools don't appear for the community messenger widget. https://www.matsuk12.us/communitymessenger. According to the development team only the district and schools types will appear.

  19. Change the arrow by "Top Stories" to advance to the next story

    The arrow by "top stories" on the home page opens the story rather than advancing to the next headline. Also, when you are in the story, there is no indication that you can swipe left and/or right to see the next headline. This part of the app does not function very well.
