I agree with all these ideas stated by the suggester except allowing the Table APP to be allowed to be embedded in other apps. I was removed to allow for prioritization in responsive web design so putting that back would be astep backwards in the product. I do agree though that if the table app is going to be split on its own it ought to better functionality and why is there not an edit source button. Editing table contents is clunky. While images can be entered in the Table App the wizard bypasses the ADA requirement to require ALT TXT. I have mentioned this in several venues but no change.

Think of them as Application Blocks, push the I believe button and move on. There are bigger fish to fry.

Because of how RWD prioritizes content it really isn't appropriate to re-introduce adding a table back into Flex editor's replacement - the Content App. Additionally for ADA compliance there are restrictions on how tables should be used, by taking in out of the Content App Schoolwires/Blackboard is making it easier to keep your sites more in line with ADA WCAG 2.0
I'd like to see improvements in the Table App I find it a little awkward to use it.

The reason, or at least a reason, for the changes in Tables has to do with ADA compliance. An ill formed table, such as one used to control layout, causes havoc with screen reader technology.
I agree though the new table app has a lot to be desired. In addition bringing Schoolwires web pages into the 21 century (incorporating responsive web design) has complicated basic page building for novice editors.

There is a button in the new editor (Content APP) that looks like this < > that takes you to the what the old HTML view in the Flex Page Editor did.

Seems self defeating to me. The title and teaser text should be short and succinct and they already act as a link to the article body.

Sort of works against the theory of preparing for Response Web Design. Two Apps that should always be on their own - Calendars and Photo Galleries.

I do like the idea of Photo Galleries being responsive, or at least being able to resize. Problem is though if you start out with low quality or small images they will not present well. Sure you and I may know this but that leaves out 99% of the rest of Schoolwires users.

I submitted a similar item but do not see it here - my idea: By using mailto coding the attachment would be e-mailed directly to the person configured and not utilize space on Schoolwires or Blackboard servers. The recipient's e-mail address would be configured in the survey and reference the survey number or title in the subject of the e-mail. Attachments could be limited (but not required) to graphics files (jpg or png) and pdfs. This would be huge for us in our translation department for submitting items to be translated and transportation department for submitting bus pass applications where a photo of the student is required as well as other use cases.

I create a section in the second location and add an astrist* to the name, then paste the url of the first section in it.
The astrist tells me the content resides in another location.
